Committees

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee develops and implements a plan for recruiting and retaining club members. Responsibilities of the committee include:

  • Achieving club membership goals for the coming year
  • Educating and training members about the importance of recruitment and retention of qualified, diverse members
  • Conducting classification surveys to ensure the classifications are relevant to current business conditions
  • Conducting club assessments to ensure membership development efforts are effective

Rotary Foundation Committee

The Rotary Foundation Committee develops and carries out plans to support the Rotary Foundation through financial contributions and club participation in Foundation programs. Responsibilities of the committee include:

  • Achieving club foundation goals for the coming year
  • Educating club members about the Foundation
  • Encouraging club members to participate in Foundation programs and support the Foundation financially
  • Communicating the Foundation goals of the district and Trustees of the Rotary Foundation to club members

Service Committee

The Service Committee plans and carries out educational, humanitarian, and vocational projects that address the club's community and communities throughout the world. Responsibilities of the committee include:

  • Achieving club service project goals for the coming year
  • Conducting a needs assessment of the community and the club
  • Planning service projects using clubs, district and RI resources and ensuring that promotion is planned
  • Implementing service projects and involving all club members
  • Evaluating all service projects and using the findings to strengthen future service projects

Public Relations Committee

The Public Relations Committee develops and executes a plan to provide the public with information about Rotary and promote the club's service projects and activities. Responsibilities of the committee include:

  • Achieving club public relations goals for the coming year
  • Familiarizing committee with Rotary International resources
  • Creating awareness of club activities among club members, media and the general public
  • Enhancing projects and activities to make them more appealing to the media
  • Helping create a public image conducive to membership development
*The Public Relations Committee asks that all club members complete the "Speaker Information" form and submit it via email to JJ Burkart at least one month prior to the scheduled presentation.  This form will aid the committee in their PR efforts as well as provide valuable information to the calendar of events section of the website.  Click here to download the form.

Administration Committee

The Administration Committee conducts all of the club's administrative activities. Responsibilities of the committee include:

  • Attendance: encouraging all members to attend as many meetings as possible and following up with members who have missed a series of meetings
  • Club Bulletin: ensuring that weekly bulletin is published and emailed or made available to all members
  • Club Service: helping the President organize the Club Service meetings
  • Fellowship Activities: planning at least one fellowship event a quarter
  • Club Directory: making directory information available in an electronic format
