Over 600 diners enjoyed the steaming hot Maine Lobster served with all of the trimmings necessary to enhance the experience including music by Buffalo Joe Band. Thanks to the widespread support from the community this Annual Sheboygan Rotary Club Lobster Boil fund raiser supporting our local service projects and grants was a great success! Everyone enjoyed the accommodations at Fountain Park and the excitement of various raffles and other mainstays of the event - including the table decorations and special appearance of the recently named Lobster Mascot "Clawd" by contest winner Barb Hengst. The judges had a tough decision to make for the Table Theme Decorating Contest with the Black & White's winning first prize followed with a close second by the Beach Party Gang - both to receive lobster framed photos proclaiming their notoriety.
Lucky Mike Hammett swept the raffle winning a weeklong cottage stay and a golf and dinner package at The Bull! Other winners included Bob Imig with a Kohler Day Experience and Judy Straus scored an autographed Packer football.
A special thanks to everyone who made the evening special including our guests, the volunteers and our sponsors! Two of our grant recipients - the Malawi Students from Lakeland College and the team from the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice provided volunteer power.
